| The volume of sales in predominantly food stores in the latest three months increased by 0.1% over the previous three months. |

| Sales at constant 2000 prices was 1.4% higher than the previous three months. Between November and December the volume of sales rose 1.1%. The increase was driven mainly by household goods stores, supermarkets and non-store retailing. |
